New Semi Abstract Figure Paintings

In my quest to find a style I'm happy with, I've begun experimenting with a palette knife as part of my armoury.  I'm happy with the marks I can make which are very different to those produced by a brush and I'm enjoying the slightly out of control results I'm able to get.
I've used some of my old life drawings as a basis for the paintings and I'm pleased that the results are promising enough to keep me busy with this new style for a while.  I'll try to refine things slightly as I go along, but not so much that I loose the abstract qualities I'm getting.

New Abstract Figure Paintings

I've been working on combining my love of abstract art with painting figures.
I'm influenced by a lot of what I see on the internet but not by any one artist in particular.
Once I have the basic composition drawn onto the canvas, the creative and intuitive process takes over and I hope results in a new style all my own.

These two are based on photos of runners and I tried to get some movement into the mix.
Hopefully they work.  It usually takes me a few weeks of living with a painting to decide on it's success or otherwise so the jury is out for a while.
