New Abstract Figure Paintings

I've been working on combining my love of abstract art with painting figures.
I'm influenced by a lot of what I see on the internet but not by any one artist in particular.
Once I have the basic composition drawn onto the canvas, the creative and intuitive process takes over and I hope results in a new style all my own.

These two are based on photos of runners and I tried to get some movement into the mix.
Hopefully they work.  It usually takes me a few weeks of living with a painting to decide on it's success or otherwise so the jury is out for a while.

Still Life

After viewing several still life artists on the internet recently, I've begun to see the genre in a new light and thought I'd have a crack at it.  Here are my first three attempts which I've submitted to the Altrincham Art Society Spring Exhibition coming up soon.
